Planning: My Target audience and audience appeal

For me, watching a music video is all about the wide range of shots and different scenes. A good use of Mise en Scene is vital, especially in costume as i like to see the different outfit changes of the singer.

My chosen music video: Disturbia by Rhianna is spooky with it's scary ideas of being possesed and gothic elements.

Close-up shots will scare an audience and make them curious to see more...

These close-up shots are taken from Michael Jackson's Thriller music video. I have chosen this particular video as it reflects the sort of style that i want to portray in my video. The location shots are shot at night time: associated with evil and also in wooded dark areas. Graveyards, in desolate spaces, foggy atmospheres, derelict houses, big doors with someone emerging, long windy lanes- all these spooky locations are in this one music video! in my music video i will be shooting in desolate spaces, they'll be a derelict house, a long scary lane e.c.t just so my audience can relate to the frightening genre.
